ABOUT
Jonathan Floo & Namsfogden (JF&N) is a Bergen/Askøy/Norway -based duo, consisting of Siv Torin Knudsen Petersen and Ingvild Garford Bennett. As the two rolled out their carpets in late 2020, they left behind their traditional indie-pop-blues-country-rock and loosened their grip on their analog instruments. They had a longing for the electronic world, and off they went.
JF&Ns musical identity, sometimes referred to as urban-melodic pop-rap, mixes the analog with the electronic in a bubbly soup. With their local dialect, unfiltered – sometimes robotic – word cords, recordings from life on Earth, long rows of guitar pedals, synths, Thinlines, refrigerator magnets, salad bowls, heavy basses and dubious lyric personas, the duo has found a distinctive expression.

“In a secret place, some people did a sort of big feast, listening to a correct amount of garage rock, drinking heavy punsj, eating BBQ in a majestuous scenography.
First “performance” was @JonathanFlooognamsfogden
Well. If at first you thought that it was only pure amateurism then you are only partly right: it’s a sort of dreamy hip hop with two creatures from another planet. a sort of antithesis of the B52. Jonathan Floo beeing a sort of trucker hulk hogan parking his big vroom vroom and declaiming calmly his text. Namsfogden being a furry tin creature in an aerobic form freaking out. everyhing in minor key and super dreamy, the two creatures had their voices modified that contrasted with their deadpan jokes. brilliant.
